Wine climate: Highly diverse, ranging from warm inland regions to cool-climate mountain districts and coastal areas.
Main wine-growing areas:
- Hunter Valley: Australia's oldest continuously operating wine region and internationally known for Semillon and Shiraz.
- Riverina: One of Australia's largest wine-producing regions by volume.
- Orange: High-elevation cool-climate region producing premium wines.
